On Tuesday, September 9th, I attended a Student Leadership Institute session about self-talk and tuning into the voice in your head. At this SLI, we reframed negative thoughts into constructive ones and discussed giving ourselves grace and compassion.
On Tuesday, September 16th, I attended a Student Leadership Institute session about mastering communication with others (and even oneself). At this SLI, we discussed confidence, dealing with confrontation, and the importance of communication. We did an activity with a partner where we drew an image solely based on descriptors, testing the effectiveness of our communication.
On Friday, September 26th, I attended a Student Leadership Institute session about sleep. At this SLI, we discussed the importance of sleep, the factors influencing sleep, things we can do to improve our sleep, and what impact sleep has on our lifestyle. I won quite a few prizes at this SLI for participating, asking, and answering questions.
